As You Were: Lydia's Story

bleh im so tired right now.

sorry this one took so long to come out...took forever, + i spent a lot of time on a detour trying to write Ember's, + i went camping one weekend so didn't work on it when i usually would have. hopefully the narrative jump is not too cray? i've been staring at it so long i don't even know if it makes sense anymore.

i pretty much skipped over any explanation of how exactly Freakshow managed to turn her into a ghost when she died...i figure if Vlad can make ghost animals, then a guy who grew up eyeball deep in ghosts can figure out how to make a human one. originally i had it that he poisoned her but it just wasn't working so i axed it.

so, freakshow. gotta say, i was telling someone on here the other day that he's really not one of my favs, but between watching Reality Trip one line at a time to do the transcription for Wikia and writing this comic, i'm a lot more sympathetic towards him now. i really liked the idea that he was at some point a basically normal dude, for a guy who grew up in the circus surrounded by ghosts, but first this thing with Lydia then running a whole circus of nobody but dead people after his parents passed kinda turned his screw a little too far.

i think i might do Box Ghost next....i have kinda half-baked ideas for Ember and Walker, but while I was working on Lydia and Freakshow's i got this really fun ok depressing (look just trust me it's kinda good) idea for ol' boxie.

look i'm kinda half asleep and just rambling now so i'ma stop.
